I offer you tools for garnering awareness, guide you through the mindfulness practice, outlining the difficulties/pitfalls, and offering you modern solutions to integrate this practice in a more meaningful way.
DIETARY ASSESSMENT & PLANNING
Working with you I will bring insight into the internal climate of your body, how its different systems are functioning and working together, or conversely in dysfunction or sluggish. We will look closely at what you are eating and how it may fit into the picture of your health; especially identifying with a biomedical lens any specific needs your body has.
STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
Using various awareness generating tools and engaging with a mindfulness practice we can then identify triggers to your stress. Engage with better methods of management of this stress, learn how to step back from the fight or flight response using re-orienting wellness techniques, and finally educating yourself on how to better manage this response in the future.
HERBAL MEDICINE DIAGNOSIS / TREATMENT
the use of herbal medicine is a true jewel of tcm, and unrivaled in its complexity to any other herbal system. herbal medicine is often reserved for conditions that cannot be fixed through diet and lifestyle, or in extreme cases. my training is in the use of single herbs and complex formulas ranging from 3-38 herbs.
herbs are used carefully, taking into consideration current medical conditions and constitution of the patient. all single herbs or complex classical formulas are prescribed case by case; with unique dosing and treatment course.
As part of the two hour session I commit 40 minutes of pre / post correspondence emailing, where you submit the 'homework' exercises for the week - with an emphasis on finding ways to integrate these practices in amore meaningful way. If we require more time then this, we will have to discuss additional but shorter calls as needed.
We will go through what comes up in the next week, focusing on getting reorienting you towards a greater sense and ability to relax. In this part of our call we will discuss difficulties and explore solutions for that week, discuss the mindfulness practices you have been engaging with, the homework/exercises I've given you, and anything else relevant to the week.
I want to explore the idea with setting yourself up for success, in terms of maintaining this exploration and not treating it as another thing to encourage 'burn out'. We will engage with the idea of Mental Hygiene, Social / Community Support, Awareness & Mindfulness, Stepping back from your Sympathetic Response. We will explore the context unique to your life and circumstances and find options that are manageable ways to begin integrating these changes into your life (most importantly - in a meaningful and sustainable way).
I will be holding you accountable, I will help to hold a space for you to explore the struggles that will most definitely arise (as they do for us all), and will help you explore how to better manage your concerns, patience, as well as self-kindness in this process.Mindfulness & Stress Management - we absolutely need to spend some time exploring stress management/awareness/mindfulness based training (meditation, pranayama, physically guarding, mindfulness etc). I suspect we will be doing a lot of building on these ideas in the beginning, before we will be able to really exploring and tailor them to your needs.
RATES & PACKAGING
My hourly rate for video calls is $150 USD an hour. However, I do like the idea of packaging these sessions, as it helps create foster more commitment on your part - I welcome your questions. I currently package six (6) - 2 hour sessions for $1500 USD (15%~ off $1800 USD).
